The Capitola Art & Wine Festival returns September 12–13, 2026, bringing art, wine, food, live entertainment and thousands of visitors to beautiful Capitola Village for one of our favorite weekends of the year.
And if you're coming to Capitola for the festival, make a day of it! Wander through the art, sip local wine, enjoy the ocean views, grab something delicious to eat, and leave a little time for shopping your favorite boutiques in Capitola Village.

When Is the Capitola Art & Wine Festival 2026?

Saturday, September 12, 2026: 10 AM–6 PM
Sunday, September 13, 2026: 10 AM–5 PM
Admission is FREE.
The festival takes place throughout beautiful Capitola Village, with more than 150 fine artists plus wine from participating wineries, food and live entertainment. Wine tasting is for guests 21+ and requires a festival glass and tasting tokens.

Getting to the Capitola Art & Wine Festival
This is worth knowing before you drive into the Village this weekend.
The festival offers a free shuttle from Capitola Mall on 41st Avenue, with shuttles running approximately every 20 minutes and dropping visitors at the festival entrance.
The shuttle is scheduled for:
Saturday: 9:30 AM–8 PM
Sunday: 9:30 AM–7 PM
There's also free bike valet parking at the corner of Capitola and Stockton Avenues.
IMPORTANT 2026 Traffic Alert
There is also a traffic change visitors should know about this year.
The southbound Highway 1 Bay Avenue off-ramp is currently closed for reconstruction and is expected to remain closed until approximately December 2026.
The festival recommends using the 41st Avenue exit before the closure or continuing south to Park Avenue and following the posted detour.
That little piece of information actually makes this blog much more useful for Google searchers this year because people coming into town may specifically be looking for parking and traffic information.
